"3D HIV" is an interactive 3D tool to explore the structure of a mature HIV virus particle. It aims to be as realistic as possible, by being informed by current peer-reviewed HIV research literature. It runs on Windows, Mac OSX, Linux, Unix, and other systems. Teachers/lecturers/researchers: You may use this in your teaching or talks (for free). See the open-source licence overview for details. (Here's how to incorporate 3D HIV into your material - it can even be run without an internet connection.) You can also use images saved from the software. You can contribute to this project - feedback, development suggestions, and even programming help or financial donations. News: Interesting new data about the structure of HIV (article on BBC website)
